Note: Whenever your app is reset to factory settings or you are starting your app for the first
time, you will be prompted to import sample menu items or add your own custom menu item.
If you already have existing menu items, then you can add a new item, if needed.
To create a new menu item, follow the steps given below.
1. Login to app. Tap Create Your First Item ().
The Create Item page will be displayed.
2. Showbutton – This switches to grey to disable from showing in menu and
switches to blue to display item in menu.
3. Enter the name
(Note: Multi-Language printing is supported by graphic printer only).
To print in multi-languages in both receipt and order slip, enter item name in the same line;
To print different languages in order slip and receipt, spilt the item name into two lines:
-Line 1 : this line will be printed on receipt only
-Line 2 : this line will be printed on order slip only)
4. Select/Take photo
-Tap on the () icon to change the photo of your new item.
The Select Image dialog will be displayed.
A. If you tap on Take from Camera
-You can take a photo of the item directly via your mobile/tablet camera.
B. If you tap on Select from Gallery
-The gallery screen will be displayed and you can select the existing image of food
item from the gallery.
-(Note: Selection must be done from Album path instead of Recent path or Image
path).
C. If you tap on Select from Web
-The system will use the item name to search online, simply select a preferred image
from the search result.
The list of images will be displayed.
5. From step A/B/C, tap on the image you wish to add and followed the procedure to crop the
image to ideal size.
The image will be updated to the selected item.
6. Select the Price Name
-Each Price Name is supposed to be corresponded with a Price Value (e.g. Small
- $5; Medium - $7; Large - $10). Each item supports up to 3 item prices.
-There are default options for Price Name (e.g. Standard, Small, Medium, Large).
-Tap Custom from the list to create your own price name.
7. Enter Price Value for each Price Name
8. [Optional] To set meal or inventory, tap on that. For more information, refer to the sections:
- Setting up Meal;
- Managing Inventory:
9. Tap Add () to add a set of new Price Name and Price Value (supports up to 3 sets per
item).
The new price list will be added.
Note: To delete a set of Price Name and Price Value, tap Delete ().
10. Select Category
-To select the category of the item to be displayed on the menu. One item can belong
to multiple categories.
The list of categories will be displayed.
Note: Now you have completed the basic setups for an item with the necessary fields. For a
more advance setup [optional], refer to the steps given below.
11. Tap Advance Setup.
12. Chef Recommended Icon
-Turn on Chef Recommended icon to mark item as recommended item on menu.
(Chef recommended icon will be displayed on the item image in menu).
13. Enter
-Description: Description of an item. Item can searched by description during
ordering.
-Barcode: This is used to store Barcode for this item, if Barcode is applicable. For
more information, refer to the section, Using Barcode Scanner for Ordering.
-Options (Modifier): Here is where you pre-set a frequently used modifier for an
item. For example, for steak, you might want to pre-set modifier for tenderness:
Rare, Medium Rare, Medium, Medium Well and Well.
To enable this, separate each modifier by commas “,”;
For checkbox (multi-selection), end modifier with commas “,”;
14. Prepare Station
-This indicates where the item will be printed out on the order slip (e.g. Kitchen, Drink
Bar).
-This can also used to monitor your revenue flow from each prepare station in online
portal. For more information on online portal, please refer to Managing Online Portal.
(e.g. What’s the revenue generated from : Drink Bar, Salad Bar, Fried Station, Grilled
Station).
Tap and the Prepare Station dialog will be displayed.
A. To add a new prepare station tap Add. Enter the name of the new prepare station in the
text entry box. Tap OK. The new prepare station will be added. Select the prepare
station(s) you wish to add and tap Save & Exit.
The selected prepare station(s) will be added.
15. In the Rating section, select required rating. The available options are Hotness, Sweetness
and Custom. And select the rating you wish to give.

In the Advance (Only available for registered user) section.
16. Stock Low Alert
-This feature enables auto-update item status on menu during ordering depending on
your Inventory status for this particular item. System will marked this item as out-of
stock when the feature is on or when the stock reaches your pre-define Stock Low
Quantity Level.
-(Note: System will provide reminder while still enable you with the ability to order
when the stock is low).
- Off Alert: Disabled Auto-Alert feature.
- Stock Low: Always Show Stock Low for this item.
- Inventory Level: Auto turn on Stock-Low warning when inventory of this item
reaches its Minimum Stock Level. (For more information, refer to the
section, setting up Inventory) in Inventory.
17. Open Item
-Refers to the item with unfixed price and unfixed name.
-This option is usually enabled for temporary sales of items such as the items that are
off the menu.
-Switch option to Yes to enable this feature, once enable, item name and price can be
changed during ordering/billing under Edit Order.

18. Online Item
-Enable Online Item to show item to your online menu website.
-For more information, refer to the section, Managing Website Menu.
19. Order Item ID Prefix
-Edit/Add Order Item ID for the item, this ID will be published on your online menu
website for SMS ordering.

to the section,
20. Tap Save & Exit.
The new menu item will be created.
